~*Disney World*~
Magic Kingdom will always be my favorite. It is just such a magical place! So much to do and it makes you feel like a kid again!
Everyone that worked at Disney (called cast members) and the characters were awesome about Dillon not having to wait in any lines to see the characters or to ride on the rides. It was pretty awesome. Some of those lines were probably an hour wait or more, so not having to stand in those was nice just in itself! We hit just about all the areas of the park in Magic Kingdom. Started with Adventureland and finishing with Tomorrowland. We probably spent the most time in Fantasyland. My favorite ride of all times is "its a small world" and my favorite show we went to there, was the Phillarmagic show. It was an awesome 3D show where you could actually smell the apple pie that looked like was served right under your nose. Another area we spent a lot of time in, was Mickey's toontown fair. We got to meet ALOT of characters in the tent there and they all spent an extra amount of time with us too. Dillon was very excited to meet Mickey Mouse, and since that was his wish, Mickey gave and signed an 8 x 10 portrait of Dillon and Mickey together. A personal message to Dillon written on the matt of the picture. It was very cool!. We also spent a lot of time doing shopping. The kids had a blast collecting souvenir pins and trading them. The cast members wear pins on a necklace and you can trade them any of yours for any of theirs that you want. It makes it a lot of fun for the kids and definetely a nice souvenir and nice memory for them. Make A Wish gave us a lot of spending money on top of everything else to buy food and souvenirs at the parks, so we had fun shopping. Buying anything from the pins, to sweatshirts, stuffed animals, Tshirts, autograph books and pens, Mickey mouse ears, hats etc. We had a great time and came home with so much stuff, we almost had to buy another suit case just to bring it all home. We stayed that night for the fireworks at the end of the night, which was awesome as well. That was a definite do not miss. Disney did the fireworks to music and narration about "wishes and dreams do come true" which was so appropriate for Dillon, it just made me teary eyed.
~*MGM Studios and Epcot*~
We hit MGM in the morning. The shows were very cool. We hit Voyage of the little
Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, Playhouse Disney, and hit a show
that was a backstage tour on how characters for the movies come alive.. from
sketches to final character. It was neat and pretty fun tour to see.
We then took a boat ride over to Epcot. It really started raining pretty hard,
but the kids didnt enjoy epcot that much anyways. Its really a park for older
kids but it was pretty cool to see anyways. By evening, we were worn out, and headed back to the house and crashed for the night, preparing for another long day in the morning.
